BrahMos Aerospace (December 24, 2021) Print This NewsNEW DELHI: Outstanding DRDO Scientist Shri Atul Dinkar Rane has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Managing Director (MD) of BrahMos Aerospace -- the India-Russia JV entity producing the world-class BRAHMOS weapon system.
The joint management board of India and Russia on December 24, 2021, approved the appointment of Shri Rane as the CEO and MD of BrahMos Aerospace. Senior DRDO Scientist Dr Sanjeev Kumar Joshi was appointed the Deputy CEO of the organisation.
Shri Rane had assumed charge as the new Director General (DG) of BrahMos Aerospace on December 20, 2021.
Shri Rane, renowned for his decades of sustained R&D contributions in the indigenous design & development of mission critical Onboard computers (OBC), hardware in loop simulation studies, systems analysis, development of mission software and avionics technologies for defence applications, has been associated with the prestigious BRAHMOS (PJ-10) missile programme since its inception.
Senior defence scientist Dr Sanjeev Kumar Joshi has over two decades of experience during which he has made pioneering contributions to DRDO. He is presently the Technology Adviser to Secretary, DDR&D and Chairman, DRDO. He is also Officer-in-charge, Programme Office, DRDO.
His seamless techno-managerial support and innovative project formulation and management expertise has led to the design and development of a wide range of tactical and strategic missile systems and initiation of many new Projects to equip the Armed Forces with state-of-the-art weapons and technologies. Dr. Joshi has been a part of many Inter-governmental delegations and has extensively coordinated for joint development programmes of national significance.
